So, yeah. Air Force. Leaving for basic training in, uh, eight days. Mixed feelings about this. I totally got the crypto linguist job I wanted, but I won't know til sometime in February what language I'll be assigned, or if I'll even be allowed to tell civilians about it. Top security clearance and all that to-do.

Was really hoping I could get my ass in gear to get another chapter of AS out before I left, but no dice on that. I do have over thirty pages of various AS chapters scribbled here and there, as well as a rewrite of over half of said pages fucking color coded in markers. No time left now to finish, edit-edit-edit, send to my beta, re-re-re-edit, and post, alas. Aaand I suspect I'll be too busy crawling in barbed wire and crying myself to sleep to have much time to write during BT. Or during the first month or so of tech school, now that I think about it.

Uh, I swear AS will be done before I'm done with tech school. No really. It can't possibly take me two years to write four chapters, right? Right?

Good news the Internet doesn't care about! According to the military processing center (HELL ON EARTH O GOD), I'm actually an inch taller than I thought I was. Yay.

I'm debating on tossing some old!shit into my scraps, some last bit of "Jesus Christ, what did this chick do to Johnny now" from me to you. Maaaaybe a snippit of Zombie!Edgar writings if I can open a document without crashing this computer along with figuring out where the hell I put the actual pages. Because Zombie!Edgar is kind of awesome to me.

I'm trying to reconcile with the idea of being music-less, book-less, writing-less, drawing-less, and privacy-less for eight weeks, and it is just not working. Sharing room and shower with sixty other chicks =/= a fun time in anthrop's book.

I AM GOING TO GO INSANE WITHOUT MUSIC FFFFFFFFFFF see y'all sometime in spring.
